During the last year, itoSave and itoControl are achieving a large expansion inside the plastics sector towards retrofitting heavy machinery. These two solutions form a perfect team for updating this kind of machinery, improving drastically not just on the electrical consumption, but also the performance, stability and profitability of its production. With this new line of CORE products, the level of effectivity and profitability provided in the plastic market reaches an unrivaled level on its primary features: energy saving and Industry 4.0.
A new line specialized on the improvement of low tonnage injection moulding machines
Until now, itoSave and itoControl kits required of an investement that, on most cases, was favorable only on machines with closing strengths higher than 800tn, where the return on the investment was much more inmediate. With the new itoSave CORE and itoControl CORE products, the kits have been designed such as to keep the unique improvement features from these products, but reducing drastically the acquisition and adaptation costs, and have been specially adapted for machines from 90 to 400tn of closing strength, achieving investment returns much more competitive in comparison to the standard itoSave and itoControl models.
On the particular case of the itoSave CORE energy saving solution, an analysis has been performed on 3 typical work cycles for all the designed kits, from high velocity to simpler productions (covering total work ranges from 8 seconds to one minute of production per cycle), obtaining average estimations on energy savings that, in comparison to the cost of the solution, achieve a maximum of two and a half years for return of the investment on the most critical cases (small machines with fast work cycles) and about half a year for bigger machines.
These numbers are extremely competitive in comparison to other energy saving solutions already in the market, not just because of the exceptional numbers on direct energy saving, but also because of the unique features related to the building of the solution, the servomotor kit, improving directly upon production, stability, efficiency, removing proportional valves, reducing maintenance costs and improving the lifetime of the oild, among many other benefits.
